MAKE YOUR OWN LIQUID SOAP & LIQUID BODYWASH

The following recipe is made using the cold process
method. You can also use the hot process method which uses
Potassium
Hydroxide as a base instead of
Sodium Hydroxide. For full details on

Liquid Soap - makes approximately
500ml/16fl.oz.
Part 1
1 tbsp of your *favourite herb
1 tbsp
Yucca root
100ml distilled water
Boil water and infuse herbs for 15-20 minutes. Strain herbs set liquid
aside.
Add 2 tbsp
Vegetable Glycerin to herbal infusion.
Part 2
100 gram bar Cranberry Lane’s "Plain Jane" shampoo bar (or use
Cranberry Lane’s
Shampoo refill kit to make bars from scratch) Note
there is no curing time for bars that will be turned into liquid, they
can be process when they are removed from the mould.
400 ml of water (You can use less water for a more concentrated soap)
Grate shampoo bar and add to water. Bring to boil, then on low until
all pieces of shampoo bar have dissolved.
Part 3
Add liquid shampoo to strained herbal infusion. Add 15-20 drops of
your favourite
essential oil.
Use and storage: Stored in a cool dry location shelf life of liquid
soap is approximately 1 year.
*Herbs to try for liquid soap:
Nettle, Horsetail & Coltsfoot: All contain amino acids that are
excellent for skin and hair
Peppermint or Spearmint: Stimulates dry skin and invigorates senses a
great morning wake up.
Lavender: Balances oily skin, good for acne prone skin, relaxing
essence
Marigold and Rose petals: Moisturizing for dry skin, relaxing essence
Chamomile: Calms irritated skin, and nerves
Patchouli: Wonderful earthy scent, good for dry skin and Eczema
conditions

When adding essential oils to Liquid soap some will cause a thickening
effect immediately, while
others (mainly citrus types) will cause a thinning of the soap.
Colouring and Scenting Suggestions:
Try adding 20-25 drops of your favourite
essential oil per 250ml of
liquid soap.
You can colour your liquid soap or body wash by using the following
ingredients: (per 250ml of
product)
1/2 tsp of the
Earth Colours (Yellow, Red, Brown, Green, Blue or
Purple)
1/2 tsp
Pink, Red, Green clay (you will need to dissolve the clay in
2 Tbsp of liquid soap to blend properly)
1/4 tsp
Ratanjot powder (you will need to dissolve the powder in 2
Tbsp of liquid soap to blend
properly)

Instructions: makes

Cranberry Lane’s liquid soap
Essential oils:
25 drops
Home Free Essential oil blend
(Oregano, Clove, Lemon, Pine, Rosemary, Lavender and Orange)

Blend all ingredients together. Shake before use.
For best result store finished product out of direct sunlight in a
cool location. Shelf life up to one year.
Keep this handy in the kitchen, bathroom or anywhere hand cleaning
is important. |

Rich & Creamy Liquid Hand Soap |
Instructions: makes
250ml/8fl.oz. |

220ml
Cranberry Lane’s liquid soap
30ml (2 tbsp)
Body Blend oil or equivalent
1/2 tsp
Xanthan gum
1 tsp Rosemary extract
1/2 tsp
Zinc Oxide powder
1 tsp of
Earth Colour
25 drops Essential oil |
Blend all ingredients except the Liquid soap.
Add blended ingredients to Liquid soap and mix well. Add essential
oils.
For best result store finished product out of direct sunlight in a
cool location.
Shake well before use. Shelf life up to 6 months. |

Rosemary & Mint Body
Wash |
Instructions: makes
250ml/8fl.oz. |
200ml
Cranberry Lane’s liquid soap
25ml
Rosemary extract
1 Tbsp Spearmint or Peppermint Leaves
1/4 cup distilled water
1/2 tsp
Xanthan gum
Essential oils:
20 drops
Rosemary Essential oil
15 drops
Peppermint Essential oil |
Bring distilled water to boil, pour over Mint
leaves, allow to steep for 15 minutes. Strain and keep liquid.
Add Xanthan gum and Rosemary extract to liquid Mint infusion and
beat until smooth.
Add your essential oils and bottle for use.
Shake before use. For best result store finished product out of
direct sunlight in a cool location.
Shelf life approximately 6 months. |

Green Tea & Aloe Body
Wash |
Instructions: makes
250ml/8fl.oz. |
175ml
Cranberry Lane’s liquid soap
25ml
Green Tea Extract
60ml
Aloe vera gel
1/2 tsp
Xanthan gum
Essential oils:
5 drops
Palmarosa
20 drops
Rosewood |
Blend all ingredients together except Liquid soap.
Add blended ingredients to Liquid soap and add essential oils.
Shake before use. For best result store finished product out of
direct sunlight in a cool location.
Shelf life approximately 6 months. |

Shea & Aloe Body Wash |
Instructions: makes
250ml/8fl.oz. |
175ml
Cranberry Lane’s liquid soap
50ml
Aloe vera gel
1 Tbsp of Shea butter
1/2 tsp
Xanthan gum
Essential oils:
25 drops of your favourite
essential oils |
Gently heat Shea butter and Aloe vera gel until
Shea butter has completely melted. Remove from heat.
While beating Shea/Aloe mixture, slowly add Xanthan gum until
mixture is smooth.
Combine liquid soap and above mixture together while stirring
until well blended. Add essential oils and bottle for use.
Shake before use. For best result store finished product out of
direct sunlight in a cool location
Shelf life approximately 6 months. |
